Celebrate Cinema at EYE – Premiere of “Mit Faedreland, Min Kaerlighed”

dfi_mitfaedreland440-20007/03/2014  On Sunday, 30 March, EYE Film Institute Netherlands  will organize a special day dedicated to international film preservation projects.  The first session will focus on The European Film Gateway 1914 project, which has digitised and made available 660 hrs of film from and about the First World War.  Highlight of the session is the premiere of  the previously lost Danish film, “Mit Faedreland, Min Kaerland” (DK 1914), that miraculously arrived at EYE in 2013 and was restored in collaboration with the Danish Film Institute. The film will be presented by EYE’s curator of Silent Film, Elif Rongen-Kaynakci, and Thomas Christensen, curator of the Danish Film Institute.
